The National Institute of Fashion Designing (nifd) is planned and shaped to make unemployed youths self-sustained. As Fashion industries burgeoning in important metros and cosmopolitan bases of India like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune etc. It was decided to establish a Fashion Designing Institute at Bhubaneswar, capital of Orissa, which is emerging very fast as a cosmopolitan city. It is committed to provide excellent education in the field of Fashion, Interior and Textile. Due to mushrooming of several technological institutes and industries, the lifestyle has been changed to a great extent.

To coupe up with the traditional ideology of general people, it has been decided to include several other aspects into the institute, which will support the productivity.

National Institute of Fashion Designing (nifd) will provide educational and training pursuits in such areas, which are relevant to the contemporary, needs of the industry in India and shall place strong emphasis on academic quality and shall be driven by uncompromising ethics and professional approach.
